What a great site this is. We spent three nights here and it is an absolute gem.
The site is currently using a reduced capacity with about a third of the pitches closed off. Unfortunately, the two playgrounds were also closed. From the outside they look like good, safe playgrounds. The reception and shop are both requesting masks to be worn and they are restricting numbers. The onsite coffee dock was closed.
So, this is a big campsite. There is a mix of permanent mobilie homes, a small number of glamping pods and then a large area for caravans and campers. Each pitch has water and electric.
The toilet blocks are well maintained and there are good showers. There is a 1 euro charge for them.
There is a games room (pool and table tennis), mini golf, two tennis courts, a basketball court and a five a side foodtball pitch. There is a really good shop too, with a great selection of goods.
The big attraction is the sea. The campsite is right on the sea. The beautiful sandy beach is ideal for families. Lots of families in wetsuits with body boards.
The nearest village is Kilmuckeridge. Its a few km away. It has a couple of coffee shops, pub, chinese takeaway, chipper, centra, petrol station and a hardware store. There is also a surf shop on the road to the village.
If you like days at the beach this is a definite winner.
