Aaron rates this as his favourite site ( I think he mentioned it once  ) easy to see why.

check in was smooth, George had reserved a large pitch to cater for our unit, pitch 7 opposite the facilities block. it is a large enough site and was jammed for the weekend. our pitch was slightly off level but soon rectified with ramps. the views tho..... fantastic. we spent hours just sitting out taking the view in.

the site is barriered and a fob is supplied on arrival. there are water points between every other pitch. no issues with the EHU. toilets, showers and campers kitchen were operational at 50% capacity. showers were free and excellent. Tenters were catered for an many were present.

However, my bug bearer... the rec room, TV room and laundry were closed. I have an issue where campsites operating with reduced facilities do not reduce their rates. this is not just this site, I am aware there are others operating similarily.

on site rules state no fires and no bikes, thankfully a rule not enforced. we paid €56 for 2 nites with EHU.

things to do... Cahir is a 20 minute spin and Tipperary town 15 minutes. Cahir is a wonderfully historical town with numerous river walks etc.

all in all this is an example of how all sites should operate ( despite my little gripe). George and Rosaline run a smooth operation and plans are afoot to return

if it cant be fixed with a hammer, its an electrical fault......

As per my review, this rule is not enforced and bikes and fires were both present. All in all a great site.

Had our first outing this year and on the advice of Charlie & Me we went to the Glen Of Aherlow.
A lovely spot for sure.  Very welcoming reception from George at the beautifully layed out entrance area. You get a fob to allow you through the barriers and they are thoughtfully designed with a keypad at both sides, catering for left and right-hand drives.
The toilet and showers are spotlessly clean and regularily maintained.
The pitches are very well spaced and there is ample room for awnings as well.
Certainly on our "we'll go there again" list.
