happy to say this will be our first 2022 outing again, booked in for the opening weekend, April 1st. hopefully bloody covid will play ball and not lead to cancellations. unlike last year cath will be looking for a deposit ( refundable in the event of issues) closer to the booking date. advised its same price as last year @ €27/nite incl EHU. cant wait!!
if it cant be fixed with a hammer, its an electrical fault......

Our 1st trip of 2022 was once again at the beautiful and peaceful adults only lough arrow.  We were met by the wonderful Cath, payment made ( €56 for 2 nites incl EHU and showers ) we set up at pitch 22. There are 26 pitches of various sizes and a tent area. All
the pitches are relatively level and the entire site is spotless and maintained to a very high standard by the owners who never seem to take a minute off.

we used this outing to give the caravan the once over. Unfortunately we require a new whale pump, the old one leaky as a sieve and the electric flush in our thetford toilet is not working. Hopefully it’s as simple as a fuse, or a new pump may be required.

we took one of our dogs with us this trip and made use of the scenic dog walk to the rear of the site. Facilities were all fully operational and spotless. There is also a B&B on site and I noted that they were setting up an area next door to the camp site called arrow huts, glamping. Not operational yet but should be in the near future. There is also a shop on site with basic and home made produce available.

The main reason we like this site so much is the adult only rule and the peace and quiet overall. If it’s an action packed site you need maybe this isn’t for you. But for relaxation, none come close. Cath also gave us a loyalty card which gives a free night after 6 paid nites are availed of.

carrick on Shannon and Sligo town are a half hour drive or so each way and lough key forest park 20 mins. 10
minutes will land you in Boyle.

we love this site. We love the simplicity of it. We love the slow pace of life and we love the care and attention it’s owners obviously have for their site. Our stay was faultless and we will return again and again.  10/10.

Back again last weekend in the motorhome and safe to say its as wonderful as ever. I don't know where Cath and John get their energy from but they are on the go looking after this site from early morning to late evening. The site was busy and peaceful and it was great to see so many rigs here.

Note that the price has risen to €30 / nite, unit + 2, incl showers and EHU. There is a bread and pizza menu available, bread to be ordered the evening before to get early morning collection. We got 2 banana bread loaves and they were excellent!

All in all this site never fails to impress us, remember its an adult only site and it caters for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
