Stayed here for 4 nights having heard great things - and it did not disappoint!

Calling itself an aire, this site only charges €19.50 per van - electricity included - and yet has toilets, showers, campers’ kitchen, food truck and on-site entertainment. It is situated along the River Barrow and only a few minutes walk to the town where there are supermarkets, pubs, some interesting shops like the Duiske glass shop and Cushendale Woollen Mills, canoe hire, hot sauna box - the list goes in. There are also gorgeous long walks in both directions along the river.

The site is spotlessly clean, with honesty boxes in place for rubbish disposal (€2 or €5 depending on bag size - recycling free) and also for the showers. Quiet time from 11pm was completely respected, in fact the general atmosphere was incredibly friendly.

Highly recommended.

We were down in the Hub last weekend, it’s a great place to be, back there again next weekend. It was great to see all the new improvements from last year like the new toilets, showers etc. Happy camping

Just back from a 2 night stay over the weekend, and once again can't fault the site and facilities (which as others have mentioned, been upgraded since our last visit)..

The site was full for the Friday and Saturday night, and the locals have said that they are pretty much booked up every weekend for the next year.. and a quick look at their online booking platform confirms that with a couple of exceptions here and there, midweek is of course quieter but so is the town if that's where you like to wander too.

We had a few fizzy drinks in some of the local hostelries and they couldn't have been more welcoming, they all say how much of a boost to the town the Hub is, and all the places we visited were dog friendly. One of the things we do like is not having to do the food shop before we leave, as the Supervalu is so handy to nip too. There are multiple walks in the area, and it's so peaceful..

The lovely people of the town do wish that it was used more often mid-week but it's understandably that this isn't possible for everyone, but we are going to look at a mid week stay in early 2025..

We stayed in the castle pitches, perfectly fine but a little muddy underfoot and a few units struggled to get of the pitches, but everyone made it out in the end. Unfortunately that can be the down side to the proximity to the River Barrow, and the good old Irish Weather that some pitches can become a little waterlogged if not a hard stand, but do not let that put anyone of coming here all year round..

Looking forward already to going back..

We were down there last weekend also we had a Hill pitch H5. It’s so chillaxing down there. There is also an Aldi in the town for shopping and it’s a nice walk from the hub to Aldi.
We did some Christmas shopping in the Duisc shop, a few nick knacks.
We enjoy mtnere so much, we checked and got a hill pitch for next weekend for €24.50 includes €10 for EHU. So that’s €7.25 per night happy days.

Never quite made it as far as the Aldi, too many "distractions" along the way

Had to email them for something else (I thought I broke their booking platform) and they came back to say "We currently have a midweek offer on; During November and December you can stay at the Hub for free Mondays to Thursdays. If you book an EHU pitch you only pay €5 for EHU"

For those of you who can.... I would avail of it!
