Hi all, first post, first of many. Spent last weekend here with my family, my wife and son. It was our first camping trip and we were really looking forward to it. We had read alot of comments, reviews in the week up to our trip and they weren't good. Lots of bad reviews about the owner and the site itself. It really got us worried and we had thought about trying to book somewhere else. Turns out, you shouldn't believe everything you read on social media. We had an excellent weekend, one of our best weekends ever that we spent away in Ireland. We were away for a week in the canaries a couple of weeks before hand and we both agreed that the weekend camping was so much better, the weather helped a little but it was so enjoyable, so relaxing, so perfect.
The site itself, we met the owner when we first arrived, he came down and spoke to us when we were pitching our tent, we found him very pleasant, we spoke to him the next day again and again he was very pleasant and chatty, maybe we got him on a good weekend. The facilities we found were excellent, for a working farm and a busy site that is also open to the public for day trips. The showers, do what there supposed to do, floor might be alittle dirty but in the shower itself, it was all good. Toilets were ok, again floor wasn't the cleanest but it's a busy area and it's going to get dirty. Everything else around the site was brilliant, we absolutely loved it and the staff were brilliant. The homemade scones and pizza were top notch and the prices of everything in the shop was very good, they don't rip you off. As I said it was our first trip, we weren't sure how it was going to go, whether we would like it. Its same to say, we love it, we're looking at more places to go now and even considering purchasing a caravan. Camping is definitely the way forward, for a fun, relaxing holiday and a great way to meet great people.
