Agree with previous poster that this site will be ideal for those with small children as both the pet farm and the freedom of the layout to the campsite are first class. However the facilities are a bit dated and can be untidy not necessarily dirty. Bins unemptied, sinks needing a clean and surely having the whellie bins/ recycling area placed right at the entry to reception does not create a good impression.Reception was very busy and understaffed when we arrived but we were dealt with courteously and shown to our pitch. Fresh bread and pizza are available from here but must be ordered. Hot water was also exceptionally good and available in all facilities.Flower beds were dotted throughout but were a little jaded. A separate all adult section might be an idea even though it was quiet at night, but their clients are mainly young families with tents which is great to see.
This is a great site. We stayed there for two nights but I was kind of kicking myself I hadnt booked another one.
In terms of Covid restrictions, the reception area requires a mask. All the facilities are open but there is a lot of hand sanitising going on. Before any of the group activities everyone gets a squirt! The social distancing is a little lax at tinmes but other than that it is pretty well set up.
The facilities are excellent. There are a couple of campers kitchens. There are a multiple toilet and shower blocks. There is a pool room and a TV lounge.
The pitches are a good size with plenty of room for our Van Go inflatable awning. There was good electric hook up and we were located beside a tap.
In terms of activities, there is pedal go-karting, mini golf, tractor rides, playground and a petting zoo. The petting zoo has goats, sheep, deer, ostriches, ducks, chicks, turkeys, cattle and quite a lot of other birds. They have feeding time for baby goats a few times a day. This was a big hit with the kids.
There is a small shop that sells basics, BBQ stuff, ice creams, sweets and also really amazing baked goods. They also make very nice pizza to order.
A note on the staff. They were mainly young lads (teens and twenties). They were all really well mannered and helpful.
If there is a down side it is that Nore Valley is very isolated. There isn't really a lot nearby. The nearest proper shop is a few km away.
However if you have kids this should definitely be on your list for a long weekend.
