Carver Cascade MKII Water Heater 2 months 2 weeks ago #1757

With winter coming, hopefully not a hard one, I’m gonna make our water situation my project…

We have no tanks of any kind on our unit, no fresh, no grey, nothing, just the 23L container and 2 hose outlets at the side (we have used a bucket when we did use the water), it’s never been a real issue for us as we have managed without since we found the leak, but hoping to sell her on in 2025/2026 and upgrade so would like to have everything working for any new owner.

My question is, with our outside submersible pump connection (again not a great setup) does anyone know if all the water passes through the hot water tank, or does the cold water divert off on a different line, my gut says it does, otherwise water from both the hot and cold taps would be warm but the plumbing side of things is not my strong point and frankly it scares me a bit due to the damage it can do if it leaks badly.. yes could probably outsource it to a professional but I like to also tackle things and learn from them..

Has anyone had any previous experience with the same kinda thing?

(also just to give myself a pat on the back, I fitted a counter top extension which will double as prep area, and also a little desk for the swivel drivers seat.. used our extendable mop handle, which also can be used as a window squegy as the support leg, so the one little pole has many used and saves carrying another “stick”)

I cant picture your set up with having no tanks?... BUT if its like a caravan setup outside water tank and submersible pump my guess is that the cold water does divert off to the tab if you have a hot water heater.

If ever your down my way (Carrick on Suir) I'd take a look for you see if we can be of any help on your projects.
