Seen a lot of good things about this park on the various campervan Facebook pages and so had high expectations in advance of our visit and was not disappointed, met the wonderful Alice on arrival and she could not have been more helpful, if the Irish Tourist Board could bottle more like her at each holiday destination they would be onto a winner, her enthusiasm for her village and locality was infectious.
The site itself is very well located near the beach, harbour and village with a well stocked minimarket right at the gate.
The Saltee Chipper & Restaurant in the village is one of the best ever! Van and two people with ehu is €25 in high season.
Facilities are clean and well laid out, showers were hot and spacious, campers kitchen well laid out also. Excellent shortcut to the village from the field area to the village and the camper services area is well done.
Few tiny quibbles, even a temporary bin/ recycling area in the overflow field might be an idea plus maybe a few lights at the upper end here would guide the journey home late at night and finally a male only problem, a few urinals in the male toilets would speed things up in that department.
Definitely on the to return list.
