Moat Farm Caravan & Camping Park Donard, Co Wicklow.

This campsite was suggested to me by a Charlie & Me viewer so during storm Kathleen Charlie & Me decided to head there as you do lol .

The site has 40 hard stand pitches mostly level, with electric hook up on each pitch.
Almost every pitch has grey water disposal BUT this works best with caravans with the grey water portable tank, its NOT suited for motorhomes unless you have a grey water hose.

The campsite is about 30 years on the go so it is well matured on the land with trees & shrubs great for shelter.

It has a MASSIVE tent section with some power points in the middle of the field.

The campers kitchen has plenty of seating, fridges & wash space.

There's a sitting/reading room also.

Toilets: Ladies seem to have more than the men lol however they are dated BUT they are VERY clean and the showers are FREE and the water is H O T !

Its a 55second walk to Donard village there's a general store and a few pubs one of which serves food from 5pm weekends.

Its €35 a night a unit & 2 adults hook up included (that's the price with no hook up too) a couple beside me in a caravan with one child paid €40.

To sum up: I will come back here during the summer, this campsite strikes me as having a great buzz when busy and if the sun is shining.
Happy Camping

I was going to post one too but you seem to hit the nail on the head, a lovely site, dated, but a really nice spot and on a good summers evening, this spot, will be buzzing. We for sure will be back.

I should add and I'm sure Aaron will agree, the entrance is quite tight and when I say tight, I mean tight, we only have a small caravan and it was tight. Just something to note.

yea a large caravan or motorhome should really walk up the lane first.

In saying that we will have a video this Friday & I will paste the video link HERE !!!

It's been 20-odd years since I was last in Moat Farm. According to Arron's report and Robbie's endorsement, It is time for a return visit.
