Hi all
Just a small report on our trip to Bannow Bay last weekend. It's an amazing little campsite, based on a working farm, which you can see and I believe help milk the cows at milking times.
We had a pitch with electric hook up, I think it's only 6amp but it was plenty for us. Has to be one of the cheapest sites in Ireland now, worked out at 23e a night with electric hook up. Only thing is that there is only two toilets which are unisex and no shower facilities, so maybe hense the price. They have a large grey/fresh water area, plenty of space for motor homes, being in a caravan I didn't need to worry about that. The fresh water when filling, sometimes the pressure can be ok, other times, it can be slow, at one stage it took over 10mins to fill a 40lt water tank. I spoke to someone in a motor home and he said it took them over and hour. I'm not too sure if that's normal. That's just a minor thing though. 
We were there for Friday and Saturday night as we met up with some members of the ICCC and each night there was entertainment on in the communal barn, bring your own drink and sit back and enjoy and make new camping friends. Plenty to do in there on rainy days too, pool (1euro), airhockey, hoop board, board games, books and plenty of seating. On the finer days, the views are amazing and there is a couple of amazing walks and beaches that you can get to from the site itself.
All in all, they is an amazing site and one that we as a family would highly recommend, the ower Bernie is a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back.

Bannow Bay isn't a Campsite !!!!!

Officially its an Aier with EHU & "some" facilities, hence the great price.

But it is a great place to visit, Bernie & her family really know how to treat their guests.
