There is a brand new motorhome site called The Getaway in Dungarvan Co Waterford eircode X35RT18 put that into google maps and it will get you right to the front gate.

Like I said it's a new campsite and there is only ONE toilet a the moment (no showers when writing this review) the toilet block is scheduled for 2022.

Tents are NOT allowed but there is a room called "The Nook" where there is a "campers kitchen" with hot water, a clothes washing machine, toaster, kettle & microwave there is also an eating area in there and a chill area with some books available. (soon to have a TV fitted also).

There is a dog run on site with fresh spring water and pooh bin with seating for you to watch your fur baby play.

There are about 13 or 14 hard stand pitches pretty level all with electric hook up and water taps every other pitch. There's plenty of seating (picnic tables) around the site and a fire pit also.

The grey water station is plenty big even for bigger rigs, there's a black water (pooh) disposal area also and a SPRING WATER tap to fill your tanks.

As this is a new motorhome park the price reflects that....  its €20 for a unit + 2 adults, €3.50 per head after that & €3 for EHU (€5 during the winter months Oct to March).

This place is worth at least one visit book online at thegetaway.ie .

One of our favourite campsites in Co Waterford.

The name is truly justified. Great spot to unwind. The addition of the pods will be good as we can bring family and friends with us. The last few times we went there we lit up a fire in the pit in the middle and some other campers came to join us for a few beers and some chat.
