Galey Bay Camping Co. Roscommon Gailey Bay Caravan & Camping Park(090) 666 1058https://maps.app.goo.gl/bZCQyast4G3WDRsC6?g_st=icOur maiden voyage was a one nighter to Galey Bay in Co. Roscommon.Price: €25. This was for 1 night for a camper, 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs and EHU. *** Point to Note Cash only no card.*** Which we didn't know in advance but it's only 10 mins to the next town which has a filling station with atm so it was grand! Galey Bay is a quiet, tranquil campsite located on the edge of Lough Ree.Hardstanding pitches with grass area to the side for an awning. Electric hook up at each hardstanding pitch & taps available between pitches.Grass tent area separated from the camper area by a full hedge.Ladies & gents toilets kept spotlessly clean.Shower blocks, we didn't use them so I can't comment on the shower itself but they were also very clean.Large kitchen, laundry area, sitting room and also a pool room!Chemical toilet also available. The owners were absolutely lovely!!We pulled up and it was lashing rain and the lady owner came out and told us not be out getting wet, to park up wherever we wanted and we could settle up with her before we left. She also gave us permission to send up the drone so we were hoping the rain would stop before we left.We checked out with her equally lovely husband the following morning and he stopped and had a great chat which was really nice.On site you can actually hire boats to take out on Ree, these vary in price depending on if you want a half day or full day, and what type boat you want. It would be a lovely way to spend some time down there, unfortunately we didn't get a chance this time!We had a fantastic first night away and even the kids have requested we come back again so that's a win as far as I'm concerned! The Maddens & Roland the Camper
