We spent 2 mid week nights here in June, and loved every minute. The campsite is at the end of the road right on the shores of Lough Ree, and - during our stay at least - was the very definition of peace and solitude. There are basic amenities - toilets, showers, kitchen, laundry - but the attraction for us was the quiet and beauty of the place.
