This is principally a static site with about 200 caravans, but tucked away at the end is a field literally right beside the beach for touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents. The whole site is maintained to a very high standard, well laid out and spotlessly clean. The warden - Karen - is incredibly helpful and friendly. The touring field has 13 EHU points with fresh water taps at each. There are fire pits dotted along the shoreline which is a nice touch. The view is really lovely and it is very peaceful. The only slight negative is that the toilet and waste disposal block is at the opposite end of the site - but it’s a pleasant walk! The Whitehouse Inn is onsite, and although we didn’t eat there ourselves has a good reputation for tasty, reasonably priced food. There was a good range of Easter activities for the younger campers and a new playground put in this year. Ardminnan Golf Course adjoins the site. The village of Cloughey is a very pleasant half hour walk away and there is a wealth of walks and interesting sites in the area.
