Cong Caravan & Glamping Park was created by Aaron
They say its the home of The Quiet Man (as in the 1951 movie)
This site is nestled near the grounds of Ashford Castle and just a 10min drive from Cong village a beautiful quaint village in Co Mayo.
The site is a bit on the expensive side at €34 per night including EHU showers are free althoe the loo block is a bit dated but clean.
There's loads of electric hook ups and water taps and the site is well groomed and maintained but some hard stands 4 in fact don't have grass along side !!!!
We have booked in for 2 nights as there's loads to see and do locally..

Aaron,
It's a bad sign when I read your reviews I hear your voice in my head.
Worried for myself.

Hi All
We stayed here 26st and 27st July 2020
POST LOCKDOWN.
Here is my review.
Reception: Very clean and staff really nice and friendly great banter on check-in all Ireland final only came up twice.
Pitch: We got one of the pitches with no grass no.1 very poor I was unable to get my camper level even with 4 levelers. Ended up nose down for the night.
Asked to move but nothing available as they were full. In the morning they ask if we wanted to move but the space was only a small bit better then where we were so we stayed. If I book again I will ask to park in the back spaces.(It's not that Aaron). The grey water area was very hard to get into as there was camper parked everywhere we did empty ours and went to the next campsite and emptyed our tank.
Toilet block: We didn't use the toilets or showers as we have both in or camper. We did look in small bit dates but clean and they have staff to keep them clean at all times.
Children areas: Great playground on site we didn't use it as it was closed when we came and we went out cycling and walking the next day.
Outside the park: Lots of cycling paths you can cycle past the castle and into the village it takes about 20 mins to cycle really nice cycle.( It's right out of the campsite and then right into the park) Village in lovely. Go to the pigeon wood great walks and lots to see. All around great family area.
€81 for two nights (2 Adults and 3 children with electric hook up) a small bit expensive when we are asked to use or own toilets and shower.
A good campsite (avoid pitch 1,2,4) We will come back again.

Thanks for another great review Mark..
We thought €34 for 2 adults a unit & hoop up was a bit expensive too but we did park down the back on a very big and level pitch.... We still haven't decided if we would go back ...

I think it may be one of the very few that is open between Christmas and the New Year.
If I can persuade the rest in the house to go - it might be the last trip of the year..!
