TOPIC:

Picked this site based on its proximity to the National Park. Its pretty much right beside it and literally across the road the off road cycle path runs right by.

The site has some good secluded gravel based level pitches with Elec and Water on site. Its right by the N71 and 2KM from Killarney. There is a Chinese restaurant / takeway right by the reception (quite good) and a Spar and Garage within 500M, spitting distance from the Glenegale hotel which has a pool open to the public .

There is no playground for the smaller ones if that is important to you but have the wonderful national park within walking distance and you can also rent bikes right by reception.

The site is very clean and was quite when we were there (at the time of posting this) , expensive €37 for 2+2 inc Elec. if it wasn't for the proximity to the park and cycle track , which was our priority, i don't think the site is worth the €37 .. as we have young kids we normally like sites with good playgrounds.

Would we stay again.?. yes based on the park.

I stayed her once because I was at a gig in the INEC ....

Like you I found it a bit costly , I also found the pitch I was on to be very uneven, I think I will give it another visit sometime (not this year)...


The facilities were bright and clean ...

I would only rate this site 6 / 10 mainly because of the cost.

Stayed in this site a few times we go with iccc so we get a good rate facilities are clean but no playground for children .if you like walking has some lovely walks in area

My family & i Stayed here this weekend with friends. We arrived around 6:30 to a locked office & didn't see anybody till we were leaving 2 days later ! The site i thought had no atmosphere & was very unkept & unlevel ! The toilets & showers were clean. At night time its totally pitch black... Its location is fabulous for walks & adventures. The town is marvelous But sadly i wouldn't visit The Flesk again

Stayed there in July 2020. It is a great location and clean facilities. I did not like the spacing between the pitches, they are based around a four EHU post with very little privacy. Would not stay there again because of this.

I was here some years ago during the winter for gig in the INEC.

I agree with some of what has been said its still a costly site we are paying €26, the toilets are still very clean showers are still €1.

On the pitch sizes. Some not all are a great size with fences or hedging between them and are big enough for a vehicle & awning. Others mainly in the middle of the site and all grass are a wee bit close for my liking but yet there were plenty of vans of all sizes pitched up there.

Free Wifi on site is pretty good and in general its a good site near almost everything there is to do in Killarney.
