We stayed at Mannix point, Cahersiveen, for 2 nights. ( apologies if the spelling is off ). The site itself is basic but everything is there. You can walk into town so no need to drive for food if you can't be bothered cooking. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an excellent social room. Good laundry etc. Pitches are reasonable level with a lot of them having some great views. ( unfortunately we didn't get the best of weather for them ). We would definitely use this site again if e are in the area.

We spent a great few days back in Mannix Point last week. We were one of the first to arrive the first day after the lockdown and they were well prepared.
Showers are closed after 6pm so they have a toilet trailer outside. This was perfectly adequate if you didn't have your own facilities. Their music room was closed but this was to be expected.
We had a fantastic pitch looking out over Valentia. Nice to get back out and we will be back to Mannix Point again.

In Mannix point first time here in 20yrs.

This is a great campsite with all you need. The town is a 15min walk there is a Supervalue at the entrance to the site.

COVID report:
The staff are doing all that can be done on the COVID front with signage everywhere and sanitizer units at every entrance. Toilet block cleaned on a constant basics and showers in use with limited numbers allowed in.

€30 a night including hook up well worth it.

Agreed. Last week was our first visit in over 10 years - the two of us in our motorhome. Whilst the music sessions and campers kitchen craic is no longer possible the location and amenities are fantastic. Thank you Mortimer and Pat - see you again soon!

Back in Mannix Point for our first trip of the year. We had a leaving cert in the house so this was the earliest we could get away. I've had a few favourite sites over the years but I think I have settled on this one.
We have a couple of older kids who still come with us and I had included them as adults when I booked. When I was checking in I was told that as long as they were with us they were children and I was charged the children's rate. It was a nice surprise when some sites charge full adult rate when they get to 14.
The pitch I was allocated was a bit small for the awning so I went back up to reception and was immediately given a different one. This was perfect, good size, level and with water on the pitch so I was able to connect the hose to the aquaroll for constant water. We have a fantastic view it over the bay and the islands.
There is so much to do and see around here that every time we come back it is different. Fantastic beaches, stone forts, Kerry cliffs, Valentia, museums and visitor centres.
It is great to see some normality again, all that is missing is the music in the sitting room in the evening and hopefully that will be back soon. There are tents on every available patch of grass and it's nice to see that they are still as welcome here as ever with a lot of sites having reduced tent capacity this year.
It's a sign of a good site that it is better every time you come and that is certainly the case with Mannix Point.
