Paying it Forward - Leave No Trace

Hi all, working backwards on the Camping Crew podcasts and currently way back on episode 84, and seriously loving every episode. On ep 84 there was an interview with Martin Dorey author of the take the slow road series of books.
During the interview and indeed in other podcasts it was mentioned about not only cleaning up after yourself but maybe paying it forward and cleaning up some of the other waste on beaches and walks.
We carry the attached, fold up litter picker from Amazon (available from other outlets) when we take our Daisy for a walk along with a bin liner and pick up a few bits and bobs of rubbish as we potter along. We try to avoid putting the filled bags in campsite bins, as it's not their fault and they pay for waste disposal as is. If there are public bins available we will use those, or if it's the last day of the trip and the items aren't too smelly we bring them home for disposal.
I know the camping fraternity don't always have the greatest reputation in relation to the leave no trace motto, sadly down to an inconsiderate or uneducated few but its a handy tool to carry in a back pack and play out little part in helping the local environment.

Thanks for that Chataeu,

I was thinking maybe next year the Charlie & Me, Camping Crew meet up should be near a beach and on the Saturday or Sunday we all go and
do a litter pick up run ...
Im looking into the best place to go to

Well done

Aaron

Happy Camping
