Folks, what do you do for mosquito repellant inside and outside the van?
I have one of those blue bulbed lamps for inside but I still get eaten alive. I'm now caught by marketing and drawn to those flextail or thermacell-type heaters which heat the blue tabs. They are supposed to throw a protective cell around you of approx 6 - 8 mtrs so before I purchase - does anyone have any experience or what do you recommend?

Just a few hints from years of experience travelling to the Canary Islands and mainland Spain, avoid being near bushes, and water, put plenty of citrus candles around the van they don’t even need to be lighting. Citrus scented shampoo body wash, deodorant etc. it all helps.

Tourer, any insect repellent with the main ingredient listed as DEET should do the trick, worked for us in Thailand last year, available in Boots etc. The higher the DEET concentration, the more effective it is AFAIK.
