I'll start this section off.

we recently bought a 1996 Hymer and the cab heating switch onlys works on position 3 & 4 how do I fix this AND Is there much of a cost !!!

Hi Aaron, sounds like the resistor for the fan speed has blown. It's an easy fix, you'll find it on the lower section of the heater box, just beside the blower fan. 2 screws hold it on, and the (4 or 5?) wires plug only fits one way.
