Stayed here for overnight on Blacksod peninsula while touring north Mayo. Owner is trying to develop an aire so we thought we would give support. About 12 hard stands in a beautiful location, 2 with EHU. No other facilities except 1 clean portaloo, fresh water, waste disposal and grey water disposal. Chemical toilet disposal available at nearby college. Self check in, only 2 other units there when we stayed in August 2021. Easy booking system but at €20 (€15 without EHU) it’s a little on the expensive side. There are other free places in the area to park. However it’s great to see someone make the effort to establish a new facility and she deserves support for that. Site has a lot of potential given it’s location.

Is great to see people providing theses facilities for us but at €20/€15 it is a bit pricey ..

Great review thank you

We were up at Black Sod Lighthouse last weekend and saw the the Aire Cuan Eilí, looks nice, fair play to Roisín for all the cleaning and painting that's been done there over the last 3 or 4 months.
A huge amount of work has also taken place at the pier area at Black Sod Lighthouse. We , and 1 other motorhome, stayed  in a lovely parking area, right at the Lighthouse. The local community are working very hard to develop it and already have a tea/coffee and snacks hut there. A lovely Museum has just opened in the Lighthouse, and tours are available every day. They plan to continue adding more parking spaces and eventually provide water and waste disposal facilities. The ferry to the islands leaves form there every day also.
