Hi Sakvan,

I read your post with interest as I was planning on Camac Valley later in the year. The prices that are being asked for this year are I believe going to have a long term effect as the owners have a captive audience this year but don't seem to be giving any consideration to the future......€40 for 1 night with no facilities...wow. Just to park your rig..!

Do they still insist that you have to be checked in before 8pm?

€40 IS MAD I am very surprised with that price ....... I am going to ring them later today and see if I can get a reason to why its that price.

I think you do still have to be there by 8pm but in saying that we did ring them to let them know we wouldn't make till well after 9 and that wasn't a problem..

I'll be interested to see what they have to say about the price.

A bit of business etiquette wouldn't go amiss this year...

Stayed here on 2 occasions mid June for one night each time. Super convenient to main routes. Very large well laid out site with low hedges between each pitch offering a nice degree of privacy. Very clean. You can hear the M50 traffic at night, but not at a level that disturbs. Beautiful Corkaigh Park is right next door; lovely for a walk or cycle. Plenty of squirrels and rabbits to keep the dogs alert!
