This site is very much still open! We stayed recently.
It is a lovely clean site, situated right on the beach in Rush, North County Dublin. There is a mix of static and touring caravans, camper vans and motorhomes with a small area for tents near the back. Most pitches have a great view, however they are long but very narrow, with little or no room for an awning and at busy times you could be very close to your neighbours. There is a basic campers kitchen and good toilet/shower block.
A code secured gate leads straight down to the beautiful sandy beach which is lifeguard patrolled. There are lovely views out to Lambay island and Rockabill lighthouse.
A regular bus service runs from Rush town into Dublin City centre, but the journey does take close on an hour.
Very low ambient light in the area makes it perfect for star gazing!
