I've amended that to Hungry Hill. Apologies.

this site is in such a beautiful part of the country... hopefully it goes to good hands and is kept open as a going concern.
if it cant be fixed with a hammer, its an electrical fault......

I would LOVE to do it but the expense of the beebaw & Deirdre's new car and the cost of another divorce prevents me !!!!! Dee will divorce me if I buy or part buy or get involved with a campsite lol

Desert House Conakilty...
Charlie & Me came here as part of our Winter Trilogy of videos 2021. Before coming we got an email from a viewer saying how disappointed they were after paying for 3 nights €90 and leaving after only 1 night.

That in mind off we went.

As stated in other comments the location is great so close to Clonakilty.. does that justify a €30 price tag... I don't know.
We called October14th 2021 and were charged €25 for the night including hookup.

The pitches are plenty big and fairly level with power points within reach but tabs a bit further away.

Theses are just my opinions well also the opinion of the family that emailed me ... the loos are a little bit more than dated ... Dave the owner told me they were dated but functional.
As I state in  the video I wouldn't use them !!  They seem to be cleaned regularly but the smell in the gents was unbearable ..

€1 for a 4min shower & €2 for an 8min one ..........

All in all the main thing Desert House has going for itself is the location.

We stayed there for 1 night in the summer on our return from Kerry - it was OK but basic - a working farm and busy enough - easy access to Clonakilty itself but generally in need of some TLC I think.
