This is a Campers Camp Site its owned and run by motorhome owners and they have it almost bang on..
FREE showers, there's even an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off the dogs and wet suits. Vending machine for soup coffee hot chocolate & tea and it'd only €1.

Play area for children & an agility area for dogs...! I kid you not !

The pitches are spacious and very neat & the whole site is sooo tidy.

Campers kitchen very clean & there's washers & dryers to keep your clothes clean.

At €23 a night including hook up where can you go wrong.

53 weeks later and we are back in Strand Camping Doonbeg.

Covid report:
In the next few weeks the sites we visit we will be looking at what the owners have done to implement the Covid regulations..

Here at Strand Camping they have gone well above what is required. Hand sanitizers at every door as in loos, kitchen & office. Then they are at the grey water dumping station. The toilet block is been wiped down and floors washed every hour to hour and a half.

On our last visit over a year ago I mentioned the lack of water points on one side of the site this has been somewhat seen to in the sense that there are now longer much longer hoses on each tap one could almost meet in the middle of the park and have hose pipe fight lol.

There's a new electronic barrier at the entrance and WiFi all over the site with the installation of WiFi boosters.

We stayed here for a night in August in our motorhome - a wonderful place and most attentive owners who give a great warm welcome and full explanation and introduction of the facilities on offer. Covid precautions well established and laundry room was terrific. short walk into village for pub grub. Highly recommend as the owners just do it right. Well done and thanks!

We are just back from three lovely days at strand camping Doonbeg County Clare. The site is the cleanest site we have ever stayed on. The hosts Jamie and Amanda could not do enough for us.

The toilets and showers were spotless with heater on when you entered and lovely music. The pitches were a great size and very level. 16amps on each pitch. We were very interested to see how the new reading of electricity metres Jamie installed would go for us.

We used a blow heater, Air fryer, Microwave, fridge, charged phones, Lights, Heated water, all these item's were used regularly over the three days.
As we were getting ready to leave the final day Jamie read the electricity meter. The total cost for electricity for us for the three days was €9.70.That works out at €3.25
per day for Electricity. Great value for the three days. We will return soon to this fab site.
