TOPIC:

Nice site, Woodland setting right beside the lake with Direct access for Swimming, Fishing and Boating. Some great off the beaten track cycling on quite roads with amazing scenery in the area.

Its probably 2KM from the local village which has some shops and pubs with good food served. Site is quite spacious but not each MH pitch has Water and Elec directly on the pitch .. long leads required for some of them.

Toilettes and showers are a bit tired and old but clean. Good Site in a good location

My favourite site,its not just a field with parking spaces.Its a real camping experience in a wooded area beside Lough Derg,you can even have a campfire here.

We stayed here last night of our 2020 holidays Aug 8th

LOVED it, some of the loo blocks are a bit dated but very clean.

The pitches are set over wood, lakefront and shaded areas with hookup and water points a plenty.

€30 for a unit 2 adults EHU & a car.

We found nothing in the village shops closed down 1 bar open but great harbour spot for relaxing for the day.

Stayed here again June 12th for 2 nights LOADS of upgrades & changes made since our last visit & Thomas the owner called to say hi and told us some of the changes were made on our recommendations from video 1.. The new wider entrance was one of them

It's an even better site now than the last time we were here in 2020

One year later and we are back at Lakeside AND even  more changes have been made.

I love to see site owners add or improve their facilities & camp grounds during the year.

Thomas & his crew have added a number oe new pitches 2 or 3 been "ECO" in that they are by the lake wits a savage view but there is no hook up or water facilities, just level hard stands wit some view.

Other pitches have been added 2 right on the lake front and a fine size they are,

He has also upgraded the diving board area by adding a "massive" pontoon with the diving board attached & loads of seating space to sunbath which we did a lot of this June holiday weekend 2023.

We can't wait to visit again.  €30 a night including hook up for a unit + 2 adults showers (about 6mins) €1
