after a bit of a lead time we finally got delivery of our Air Awning end of august this year and managed a few trips to try it out. so here it is..
Vango Baletto Air awning purchased from Charles camping, including the ICCC Discount landed us at €700. bargain.( RRP is about €899.00). included in the pack was the storm straps,two wheel arch covers,draught skirt and pump. it is an airawning and this model has the option of a single inflation point, or multiple points. we found using the multiple points was the easier option. it packs down nicely into a large carry bag and weighs in at approx 25kgs. we managed a respectable 20 minutes set up time once we got the hang of it.
the windows are clear and all come with easy fit curtains. the entrance door is a 60/40 split making entry and exit smooth.the vango also came with the new draught excluders for the side of the van, but we found them a bit fiddley to be honest.there are additional airbeams that help stabilise the roof and once it was set up we found it to be a sturdy piece of kit.
also included are steel pegs in their own bag to keep dirt away from the canvas. according to the specs it is a 150D fabric and is reportably durable against colour fade from the sun ( not really an issue in ireland!!) and we found it held up well against some heavy downpours.
All in all its an easy set up for 2 persons and it looks well, its a charcoal and grey fabric and fitted well and tightly against the caravan. awning carpet is an optional extra.
a great buy for us and we hope to get many years of wear and tear out of it. 8/10.
