WOW this lace is just beautiful. NO Hard stands just natural grass fields and you just pick a spot to pitch up.

Toilets old but SPOTLESS views to die from from the higher parking spots.

A FANTASTIC camper shop on site selling almost everything you would need from tables chairs to awnings and all the repair accessories you would need for motorhomes caravans & tents.

€30 a night unit & 2 adults inc hook up.

Well worth a visit & I know we will be back this summer.

We love it there - especially if the seals are around in the water (down the long flight of steps!) to the wonderful beach!

Stayed here recently for 2 nights in our camper van, We arrived on the Friday evening later than planned, but the staff were very accommodating, super friendly and welcoming.

We were escorted by John in his Jeep to our parking area in the second field (as per Aaron’s original review, there are no hard stands, all grass parking spots most if not all with EHU, and multiple water points around)

The spot we were given was on a steep enough side slope, but nothing a couple of leveling ramps didn’t sort.. But wow what a view, amazing, fantastic right out across the Irish Sea, was lovely to sit out and just relax in the evening watching the ships and ferry’s pass by.

The site it’s mostly static units and seasonal users, it was busy but not overly so, there were about 12 or so motor homes and campers also, most were given the sea view spots in the second field and again the views are stunning.

Weather on the second day was not so good, but hey welcome to Ireland, home of 4 seasons in one day, you make the most of it.

Wicklow town is about 4.5km away, you can walk it, but the first kilometer from the campsite towards the town has no paths so high viz clothing is essential, and it’s a busy road. The town itself is large with plenty of shops of all kinds, bars, restaurants and the iconic Wicklow Gaol (Irish for Jail/Prison) definitely worth a visit.

Back to the site itself.. there are 2 toilet blocks with shower facilities (token operated) on the site, they are dated and basic but clean and functional. There's a laundry room and delph wash up facilities along with grey and chemical disposal points, bins are available at the main entrance but no others around the site which is a bit annoying cause it’s quite the walk from some parking spots.

There is an amazing camping supplies shop on site with pretty much all you could need along with the essentials such as milk, bread, sausages & rasher, soft drinks etc and super friendly knowledgeable staff.

Access to the private beach is directly from the site, dogs are not allowed down due to problems with inconsiderate dog owners burying the poo rather than doing the right thing and bagging and binning, so we didn’t venture down, but anyone who we spoke to on the site said it was amazing and like being in a different country.

There’s no playground, games room etc for the smaller visitors, there are some goal posts and that dotted around, there’s no WiFi available (as far as we know) and the phone signal is weak and patchy so that’s something to consider on the wet days if screen time is required. BUT ideal for sea swimming, or if you have the equipment for other water activities or just a family day on the secluded beach it could be the one for you!

We paid €37 per night with EHU, which in our opinion is a quite over priced for what’s on offer facilities wise, but for the views is somewhat understandable.

For campers or families that enjoy beaches and all they have to offer, it’s worth a visit, but for us it may not be a place we would come back too. Wicklow town, yes, everyone was so friendly and hospitable but might choose to wild camp next time. This is just our opinion, based on what we like to do while away, but to others this could be just the right spot and we hope it is for you!/

I liked Wolohans but I have to say I found the rule against dogs on the beach annoying for a dog-friendly campsite. It means that if you want to use the beach (which we definitely did) you have to leave your dog locked up in the van for the duration which just made me feel guilty about leaving him behind.
