We love our Cadac Gas BBQ

It was over €100 and runs off our bottle gas in the motorhome.

It packs away into its own 2 canvas bags neatly ..

Second that. We bought ours years ago and still looks and cooks like day 1. We have the skottel which adds a wok to the pot;-) highly recommend

Hi Charcoal for us, we buy a cheap BBQ at the end of season sale and use it the following year, takes up a bit of room in the trailer, takes time to get the coals right but always worth the wait, another plus is that you get to have the early glass of wine while you watch the coals as we all know you should never leave a BBQ unattended so I watch the coals. PS we also bring an electric wok (ya electric wok).
The early bird may get the worm but the secound mouse always gets the cheese

I have the Cadac Carri Chef with all the cooking surfaces. I usually use the frying pan and grill surfaces and they work great. I haven't been as successful with the BBQ surface and never really get around to using the wok. I use it twice a day when we are away and occasionally at home so it is well used. I used to buy a new BBQ every season as I used them so much until I got some sense and invested in the Cadac.

Regular BBQs are very difficult to get in and out of the caravan but with the Cadac you just pop off the legs and it's ready. We even take it to the beach sometimes.

I cooked some belly pork in it this evening with the lid on and it was delicious. I'm going to try a full chicken tomorrow and see how that goes. Anyone got any ideas for a marinade?

Hi thanks for the info, just looked at these on the net, sorry but not for me, never found the same flavour for the gas/elec bbq as there is from the charcoal, but thats just me. Looks a nice bit of kit with lots of extras. Tks
