hi all. liam here from the celbridge area. came across the charlie & me videos after we purchased our 1st caravan last month ( previously owned a merc campervan, sold when the kids got too old for camping with mammy and daddy) . having been "force to staycation" this year, we regretted not having the freedom of camping, so when the refund came from the cancelled foreign holiday, we purchased a 2007 abbey spectrum 535 fixed bed caravan. going on our maiden tour next weekend to our old favourite site at strandhill and will report on that after. big thanks to Aaron and chris for the stickers received yesterday in the post, now attached to said caravan.loving the podcast, beats boring newstalk on the way to work each morning..... hope to chat to more campers soon!!
if it cant be fixed with a hammer, its an electrical fault......

Welcome back to the fold. Its amazing that when you stop touring how much you miss it.

That's what happened to us and we couldn't wait to get back on the road again. Enjoy the caravan, it's different to motorhoming but they both have advantages and disadvantages....just personal opinions to which is best.

cheers tourer.... found with the merc that if we were outside a town it was a pain to unhook the van to drive in, and small narrow towns were a nightmare to deal with. i suppose the advantage with the caravan ( unless youve a set up like Aaron with a smart car) is you drop it and go! looking forward to getting out again!
