I just purchased the new 2014 Camping Ireland guide. There is a new park this year, which it says has only been opened in 2013.
According to the manual, it is still pending review so is obviously in it's very early stages, but looks the part.
I'm planning a two week trip at the moment, and will be going through Dunmore East Co. Waterford so I'll definitely give it a go and see!

Here is their website:

I took a spin up there a few months ago in the car to have a look it was closed but i took a look around.

A bit difficult to get to in a large motorhome so we mite have a problem !!!

But we plan on staying there and reporting back ...

We visited Dunmore East St Patricks weekend.
We arrived late Friday evening and it was a bit difficult to find as the site entrance is a little outside the town.
I phoned and got directions in the end.
Site was nice enough, pitches were the gravel sort, toilet block is new build.
We paid for our stay at the golf clubhouse.
There was a cut through down to the village via the holiday homes, great view across the harbour.
This was the most direct route to the town (not camper accessible) but not an easy return back uphill, especially after a drink in the local pub!
We would use the site again as Dunmore East is somewhere we will be back to.

Took a trip to Dunmore Holiday Park on a whim Saturday.

Now stuff has been said about the setting up of this park and wheather its true or false it dosent take away from the fact that this IS A VERY NICE PARK...

The location is fantastic they have a second wider entrance for the larger motorhomes or caravans and to be honest they should make this the Main Enterance.

The reception was open when I arrived and I spoke to the lady owner and she was very nice & very helpful. I do think during the "holiday season" the office should be manned and one should not have to go to the Golf Club to register & gain access also its CASH only like me most people probably dont carry much cash and would rather use their bank card when paying for their stay .... I feel this is something they should look into !!!!

The whole site is a new build the loos & showers are spotless and still smell new (give it time) the campers kitchen is also well equipped.

At €22 a night for 2 adults & a unit including hook up this is FANTASTIC VALUE BUT !!! My & Many others pet HATE paying for showers but at €22 euro and €1 per shower its worth it...

Well don to Dunmore East Holiday Park see ye all sagain soon !!

Good stuff that's good to hear. You never know for sure without visiting a park, but I could almost tell from the website that this is a park that's going to be ahead; I'm looking forward to paying it a visit!

We are here in Dunmore again there's about 12 units here and more arriving every few hours.

Its still a very pleasant park yo stay on and this time it was only €40 for two nights including hook up.

We met a very nice couple from Galway in their new caravan & a new family of campers in their new motorhome happy camping :)

Went back once again for a few nights in Dunmore East we brought some friends with us on their 1st outing in their 07 motorhome.

As always the stay was enjoyable the weather was savage for October.

There was an issue on Saturday night / Sunday morning with some people from OZ but it was delth with and the aftermath was hanlded very professionaly by the owners on Sunday ...

We are calling the issue "Dunmore Eastenders" :cheer:

Well done Tony & Grace !
